This old photograph was probably from the 1970's when Brawdy belonged to the RAF and Fleet Air Arm. It was lent to me recently by a friend. It shows an aircraft flying over Harbour Village in Goodwick. It's a Gloster Meteor and was the only allied jet (616 Squadron) to see combat in the 2nd World War. The RAF did not put them up against the might of the German Luftwaffe but their first success was to shoot down the V-1 flying Bombs on August 4th, 1944.
