Waldo Memorial

This memorial stone situated near the village of Mynachlogddu in the Preseli Hills is dedicated to the Welsh bard Waldo Willaims. He was born in Haverfordwest but later returned to the village to live, aged seven. Strongly opposed to violence he was imprisoned in 1950 during the Korean War and became a conscientious objector during WW11. His poems show evidence of his stance against fighting and the cruelty of war.
