This old slate quarry, just off the beach near to Abereiddy, is famous for its vivid blue waters. Once connected to the sea by a narrow channel and then flooded after its demise it forms a very deep pool which is regularly used by divers and the heroes (or foolhardy) who jump off the clifftops into it. Remains of the railway lines can still be seen where the slate was transported to the nearby port of Porthgain.
